Kartal Municipality publishes maps for the district’s 20 official neighborhoods. The M4 metro runs inland while Marmaray follows the coastal railway corridor. The common name “Kartal centre” can cover several official neighborhoods.

Kartal centre
Administrative status: Common central locality spanning official neighborhoods
Kartal centre is a broad locality around the administrative, commercial and transport core. Formal addresses may use Kordonboyu, Yukarı, Orta or other official neighborhoods.

Kordonboyu
Administrative status: Official neighborhood in Kartal district
Kordonboyu is an official neighborhood near the Marmara coast and the central Kartal rail area. A sea-view or shoreline claim must be confirmed from the unit rather than inferred from the neighborhood name.

Atalar
Administrative status: Official neighborhood in Kartal district
Atalar is an official neighborhood with a same-name Marmaray station. The M4 line is farther inland, and access to each system should be measured separately.

Kartal has an official Cevizli neighborhood, while Maltepe also has an official Cevizli. Pages and metadata should always include the district name. The Marmaray corridor serves this area.

Orhantepe is an official Kartal neighborhood. Dragos is a common locality name used around the coastal hill and the Kartal–Maltepe boundary. A property page must state the registered district and neighborhood.

What should be checked for a specific property?
A neighborhood name alone is not enough to assess a property. The formal title address, actual distance to the correct station entrance, walking route, road access, the building’s legal and technical status and any applicable restrictions must be checked for the specific property. District-level studies do not replace a building-level technical assessment.
