Official names, neighborhoods and transport
Kadıköy has 21 official neighborhoods. Moda is a widely recognized urban name, but its main area lies within the official Caferağa neighborhood. The coast, Marmaray, M4, M8, the T3 tram and ferry services create very different access patterns across Kadıköy.

Moda / Caferağa
Administrative status: Caferağa is the official neighborhood; Moda is the commonly used locality within it
Moda Park and Moda Street are documented by the municipality under Caferağa addresses. The T3 loop tram includes Moda and Moda İlkokulu stops, and the Bostancı–Moda–Karaköy–Kabataş ferry line also calls at Moda. A clear property-page format is “Moda, Caferağa, Kadıköy.”

Fenerbahçe
Administrative status: Official neighborhood in Kadıköy district
Fenerbahçe is an official neighborhood, with Fenerbahçe Park and other public spaces documented by the municipality. There is no M4 or Marmaray station named Fenerbahçe, so rail access should be described according to the exact section and nearby stations such as Feneryolu or Kadıköy.

Feneryolu
Administrative status: Official neighborhood in Kadıköy district
Feneryolu is an official Kadıköy neighborhood with a Marmaray station of the same name. Municipal reports examine it among the neighborhoods between central Kadıköy, the Bağdat Avenue corridor and the coast. Property pages should separately state the distance to Feneryolu station and to Bağdat Avenue.

Göztepe
Administrative status: Official neighborhood in Kadıköy district
Göztepe is an official neighborhood, and both M4 and Marmaray have stations named Göztepe, but the two stations are not in the same location. Any wording such as “near Göztepe station” should therefore specify whether it refers to M4 or Marmaray.

Erenköy
Administrative status: Official neighborhood in Kadıköy district
Erenköy is an official neighborhood with a same-name Marmaray station. Kadıköy’s urban reports examine it within the residential corridor between the coast and the D-100 and note ongoing building renewal across parts of this wider axis. The condition of each building must be assessed independently of the neighborhood name.

Suadiye
Administrative status: Official neighborhood in Kadıköy district
Suadiye is an official neighborhood in southern Kadıköy with a same-name Marmaray station. The municipality’s spatial report places it within the coastal sequence after Fenerbahçe and Caddebostan and before Bostancı. A property’s distance to the shore and to the station should be measured separately.

Bostancı
Administrative status: Official neighborhood and transport interchange in Kadıköy district
Bostancı is served by M4, M8 and Marmaray and also functions as a ferry point. Metro Istanbul documents transfers at Bostancı among M8, Marmaray, rail and sea services. Property descriptions should identify the specific station or entrance used for distance measurements because the Bostancı transport area is extensive.

Kozyatağı
Administrative status: Official neighborhood in Kadıköy district
Kozyatağı is an official neighborhood, and Kozyatağı station is the interchange between M4 and M8. This advantage is relevant only where a property has practical access to the station entrances; a project name or broad marketing use of “Kozyatağı” does not by itself establish proximity.

Caddebostan
Administrative status: Official neighborhood in Kadıköy district
Caddebostan is an official neighborhood on the near-coastal corridor. Kadıköy’s spatial report places it in the sequence with Fenerbahçe, Suadiye and Bostancı, while municipal public-space records locate Göztepe 60th Year Park in Caddebostan. There is no rail station named Caddebostan.

What should be checked for a specific property?
A neighborhood name alone is not enough to assess a property. The formal title address, actual walking distance to a station entrance, street access and gradient, the building’s legal and technical status and any applicable restrictions must be checked for the specific property. District-level studies do not replace a building-level technical assessment.
